Intense heat in an early morning (25 février) Mobile home fire here today thwarted efforts by the Memramcook Volunteer Fire Oepartment to save the life of 56-year-old Lionel Arsenault.
A fire department spokesman said nine firefighters using three tankers mounted an all hosing blitz immediately after arriving at the blaze but "by the time we got it down to a point where we could enter, it was too late” Firemen removed the body from the still-burning trailer about an hour and a half after answering the 3:45 a.m. call. Mr. Arsenault lived alone.
The funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East. Entombment will be in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery vault, St. Joseph, to await burial in Memramcook East in the spring.
